Akon take the song Hold my Hand from the michael’s first posthumous release, and they do duet.

This song was set to be the first single from Akon’s 2008 album which entitled Freedom,but Akon finished the song after the Michael’s death and record it in 2010. This song was originally recorded by Jackson.

The song is simply about friendship, family, togetherness and the world unite as one ,the song tells us that we need to reach out , embrace one another and give love is to receive love and we must find it within ourselves because we don’t know what future will have.

Hold my Hand was first recorded by Jackson and Akon in 2008, but Akon finished the recording of the song in 2010. The Jackson’s Estate give Akon a handwritten by Jackson indicating that he want the song to be the first single on Akon’s next album.

Hold my hand was the last new song leaked during Jackson’s life in 2008 because of the leak this song was pulled out to the list of track’s of Akon’s 2008 album. But because of the desire and willingness to release the song Akon did not give up and finally the song was released and it has become incredible, beautiful and anthemic song.

I’m sure all of the fans of Akon was so proud of him because he got the chance to work with Michael Jackson and I consider this a highlight of his career.

The hold my hand single gained a lot of negative reviews as much as it gained a lot of positive reviews. Some say that Akon failed to incorporate Micheal’s personality and character, especially in the video. They say that the song is very Akon like and Michael’s direction of his art in music and films were never seen.

I don’t think it is fair that people will criticize Akon. Certainly it is impossible to solely see Michael Jackson’s whole work of art through this video as he is not able to interfere and direct anymore, but the people behind the success of this single did the best they could in making this a tribute to Michael and a treat to the fans as well.

Let’s stop the controversy and lets just spread the message of this song. If only Michael Jackson is still alive im sure he is glad that his song was preserved well.
