Nowadays, wherever you go, either at a supermarket, in a restaurant, in a fast food, or outside on the streets, you will always find a person on his/her cell phone, even the drivers on the cars passing by. We are such garrulous people, and we are so fond of our cell phones.

I remember when mobile phones first came out. Me and my friend bought one for ourselves. The first phones were cumbersome. Wherever we went, our phones tagged along. We are guilty though of using them while we were behind our wheels. We just used it regardless of what else we were doing. Having those phones at that time made us feel hip! Did you notice how the cell phones look right now? Our cell phones today have improved a great deal from the once massive to now sleek and can even do almost anything, not including windows! Wherever I go, my cell phone goes with me. Especially today, as women, traveling and moving about in the cities, it is a must for safety’s sake.

To be able to drive properly and securely, you need two hands to do that. Taking away one hand for your cell phone use is very risky. This is an accident waiting to happen and according to a University of Utah study, people who talk on the phone while driving are as impaired as a drunk driver. We are not in agreement with driving and using the cell phone at the same time. Even several states would agree on that as they are proposing to restrict totally cell phone usage on drivers. Driving with a cell phone, yes, you’ll still see a lot of those in the days to come but don’t be sure that it will last by the time a law will say it’s illegal to do so. You have a choice though, a much better choice that is safe. You can be in your car driving with two hands on the steering wheel, you’ll just put on a hand’s free device on your phone. And as of July 1, 2008, California Senate Bill 1613 states that you must use a hands free device if you are talking on your cell phone while driving. It now made phone usage without a hand’s free device unlawful when on the wheels.

My husband who spends an incredible amount of time working on the computer will tell you his Blue Tooth Headset is a godsend. Sometimes he will have to help a client with computer related issues while talking at the same time and be on the phone for hours. Have you tried typing and at the same time holding your cell phone? It’s impossible, right? Unless if you try holding the cell phone with your neck and shoulder. However, that will create discomfort and health issues. So a few years ago I bought him a Blue Tooth Headset, and he says he won’t ever go without a hand’s free device again.

If you cradle a phone, or cell phone between your neck and shoulders, you are creating a position that compresses the nerves in the neck and shoulders. A person who does this frequently have headaches. It will generally start from aching arms, hands, neck and shoulders. A hand’s free device is a good way to go, so that you won’t have to suffer headaches and body pains. You can have yourself a Blue Tooth Headset. It’s comfy, uncomplicated. It’s wireless and produces good quality sound. Motorola offers many styles and shapes to fit the needs of everyone. It has a clip-on speakerphone that you can put on your visor. A wireless headset is not even necessary and it is not against the law in the California state when you drive using this.

So, remember, obey all rules of the road, and for heaven’s sake practice safe driving, and if you are going to talk on the phone, use a hand’s free device.

To ensure that you stay safe even when you’re on the streets, it’s important for you personally to purchase an ultra compact bluetooth headset. At Safe Home, you will come across plenty of ultra compact bluetooth headsets.
