If you are like most people in the world, a vacation for you means spending time staring at the waves while they kiss the shore and drift away back to the ocean. Just the sight and sound of this gives you enough energy to quench your thirst for some needed relaxation.

If you want to find the best beaches in the world where it is just you and the powdery white sand, here are some top choices. Wherever you select to visit, you’ll be sure to have a wonderful and relaxing experience.

Costa Blanca in Spain is a long stretch of coast in the southeastern part of the country. When we say long, we mean a coastline that covers 42 towns and villages long.

Because of the coast’s length, you will surely find a place where you could spend quality time with yourself and a good book. The nearest international airport in this area is Alicante, the capital of Costa Blanca.

Another amazing location worth checking out is El Nido, located in the Philippines. The area here is beautiful – containing perfect waters and snow white sand. El Nido also contains the infamous Tubbataha Reef, a coral reef that was recently nominated in the new seven world wonders. This reef was also declared a UNESCO Heritage Site.

Unfortunately, there are no international flights that go directly to El Nido – meaning you will have to grab a connecting plane from Manila’s airport. The extra travel is a bit of an annoyance; however, the trip is ultimately worth it in the end.

Closer to home is St. John, part of the US Virgin Islands, which doesn’t have as high a tourist numbers as other close by spots. This means that you can relax in the sun close to home without all the other people standing in your sun. There are plenty of cruise ships that stop of at St. John as well.

These beaches are definitely worth a visit, especially while they are still unperturbed by commercialism and crazy bars and pubs. You can certainly have an amazing vacation in one of these magical destinations.
